Voices Unveiled is a weekly podcast hosted by Halima Hamud that delves into the stories and experiences of educated and skilled immigrants in our communities. What lead to the creation of Voices Unveiled
In 2018, around 2.2 million immigrants with college education were either without employment or engaged in low-skilled occupations such as dishwashing, security, or taxi driving within the U.S. labor market (MPI, 2020).
Tremendous policy research and advocacy efforts have been made throughout the USA to ensure that the US workforce is accessible and inclusive for skilled immigrants and refugees. Voices Unveiled provides a platform to celebrate journeys, share wisdom, and along the way gather strategies to remove employment barriers for these communities.
